panties

Ok ladies.
So I dunno about you all, but the way I normally wash my panties is stick them in a lingerie bag and throw them in the washer.

Well lately I've been noticing that somehow there have been "unwashed" panties in my drawer, and I thought that it was odd but maybe they just slipped in there.

Today I was fishing through the drawer and I realized that the panties I just washed were definitely not clean. So I dumped my entire drawer in the washing machine (minus lingerie bag) and washed away.

But anyway I've been washing my panties the same way for years and I just now realized that it is not an effective method.

I don't just want to throw them in the wash with all the other clothes because they tend to get destroyed. That's what made me start using a lingerie bag in the first place. I pay too much money for a few strips of cloth just to have them wrecked.

How do you all wash your panties? I need suggestions!

  1. I just throw them in with the rest of the wash and I've never really thought to do anything different. I figure if it gets ruined that's just a good reason to buy new ones! You could always try putting them in on the delicate cycle without the lingerie bag.
I have more trouble keeping my bra's nice. Replacing panties is fun, but bra's are expensive and harder to fit right!

  2. The biggest enemy to panties and bras (particullarly those with formed cups) is not the washing machine but the intense heat of the dryer. I find it is best to just throw them into the washing machine with everything else (occassional bra straps and such will get tightly tangles with other clothing), then after washing sort these more delicate items out and air dry.

  3. I guess the potential for ruined panties is a small price to pay for CLEAN ones. Besides, you're right, I can always buy new ones!

I usually baby my bras because I pay a fair amount of money for them. They go in a lingerie bag on the delicate setting, all by themselves and they always lay out to dry.

  4. i throw everything in the washer and dryer. panties, bras, whatever else. but then again... i buy all my stuff at walmart (or 5 for $10 panties at Charlotte Russe) so it's not too expensive to replace. the only thing i hate is when my bra straps get all tangled and whatnot **loves**
